Serves 2-4 (double the quantity to serve 4-6)
Ingredients:
- 84 grams fresh wild black trumpet mushrooms
- Or 14 grams fresh wild black trumpet mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Clean the mushrooms: Gently brush any dirt off the mushrooms using a soft brush or paper towel. Using cold water to wash is fine as well as long as you don’t soak to much.
- Slice the mushrooms: Trim the ends of the stems if necessary, then slice the mushrooms to your preferred size.
- Sauté the mushrooms: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and lightly browned.
- Season to taste: Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
- Serve: Transfer the sautéed mushrooms to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot as a side dish or as a topping for pasta, rice, steak, chicken, fish, pork, mashed potatoes, grilled bread or any other idea that you may have!
Enjoy your delicious wild black trumpet mushrooms!
